has anyone heard of using bedliner over the glassed floor boards in a small 14' boat? I am repairing the floor boards and want to put liner over the new fiberglass wood. will it be to much weight???

That is the sole, not the floor, 1955. Boats do not have floors.

Bedliner strikes me as an excellent idea. Has all of the benefits of carpet (except it doesn't look like your living room) and none of the disadvantages.

I recommend a medium color. Black gets hot in the sun and white reflects too much.

I have known a few people who have used "bedliner" in a boat. So far no complaints.

My winter's project is to rip out the carpets and replace the sole in the 30 year old Starcraft bowrider I have. It's new life will be as a crabbing and fishing boat (I'm on saltwater in the PNW), and that Grisley Grip system, which is marketd for boats, looks pretty appealing, especially since you can apply it yourself. I am going to seriously consider it.
