I have a 60 hp Mariner outboard and when I start it I get a beeping signal from the ignition box. It has oil. Any ideas?

B. Mulligan
on the bottom of the oil tank there is a wire coming out of the oil tank unplug that wire and see if the beeping stops if it does your float is probably stuck in the tank.

Nickster

Re: Beeping Signal;

What kind of beep is it? low oil- beeps once every two minutes, repetative beep.beep.beep-no oil, constant beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep-water overheating. As stated in earlier post, disco the sensor to check for the condition. Those floats do stick and get saturated. :D
