You won't be disappointed. You're also going to want to make 6 loaves because the first one WILL be consumed in about 5 minutes.;)

After an hour at 350* do you think there would be any alcohol left? I don't.

As my old mammy used to say, anything's good with enough sugar or butter in it. That has the butter.

Not smell-a-vision, still scratch and sniff. Use your fingernail and scratch your computer monitor on the picture of what you want to smell....

I might try that at my inlaws house for thanksgiving...

So that's how it's really made. I just paid 8 bucks for a box of mix from tastefully delicious or whatever it's called. Boy do I feel like a schmuck. lol

Well, the bread is finished and it is 1/2 the height of the first post pic. I'm also guessing the 'any beer' does not include Guinness stout, as it tastes like crap

The dogs like it, though ;)

Re: Beer Bread with pic

I'm gonna give the recipe to my 15yo daughter to make for thanksgiving, she loves to bake bread. It will also make her happy to contribute.
Question, with the self rising, guess you don't need yeast? Ive never used self rising flower before, or can you use flower and yeast? I do have reg flower and yeast in the house but no self rising flower

Wife & I tore into it with pleasure tonight :) a Natural light left from a neighbor worked very well{have to save the good stuff for sippin ya understand ;)}...Thanks for this!

Edit..Bill{HVAC} beer has the yeast already, not sure on using plain flour and yeast, you'd probably have to wait for it to rise

Your going to want to use the self rising flour.I've had other people try it the other way and it doesn't taste the same.I usually only use Mich Golden Light...but hey that's me.
