Your showing your age. Yuppies disappeared 30 years ago. They're now "grown-ups" and "grandparents"

I was referring to today's emulation of "yuppie"? If I said what they really are I would get the moderator boot for being political!
I am of the "Old guys rule" still crazy after all these beers!

Kronenbourg 1664 tops is the best lager i have tryed. Tops is when you add a tablespoon of lemonaid to the lager which reduces the hoppy after taste. Most american beers i have a problem with the acid and foam especially if im playing soccer outside of the bar. I havent found any where in florida to get Kronenbourg as a import which is a shame but its the first thing i get on the plane when im going home for a visit.

I will drink micro-brews but not really a big fan of these yuppie beers. I like full bodied “grown-up” beer not “kinder” beer.
I think it's a bit of a blanket statement to call micro-brews "yuppie beer". I know many people (including my self) that are far from fitting the definition of being a classic yuppie, and they may exclusively enjoy micro-brews.

If you're a fan of history, micro-brews are Americas past before prohibition stomped out all but the largest breweries. Immigrants from around the world brought their individual beer recipes from the old country, and were brewing batches for anybody in the local bar to enjoy. It all happened before the era of mega breweries, and bottled beer. It's only been in the last 20-30 years that small production breweries have finally recovered. I certainly appreciate their effort, and all the styles they bring to the table.

An interesting thing to know is that Samuel Adams is made right here in NC under contract BY MILLER BREWING CO....so much for brand loyalty!

Can't brew all the worlds beer exclusively in Boston. As passionate as Mr. Koch is about his beer, I'm sure he sees to it that Miller is brewing it for him under his strict standards.

I enjoy many beers, everything from Corona to Guiness and almost anything German. However if I had to pick one favorite it would be Riverwest Stein Beer. It is very good. Not too light not too heavy and full of flavor.

Once you drink good beer, hard to drink the tasteless fizzy yellow stuff even with their multi million dollar ad campaigns.

You're right about that. I used to drink 2 kinds of beer (Coors and yours); then I moved to Bavaria and lived there for 4 years...and that spoiled me. Ever since then I have a hard time drinking (insert name of popular American beer here), even if it's free.

Speaking of canned beer, this is actually a pretty good IPA:

I enjoy beer, all types of beer, most anytime and most anywhere. When my wife asks why I love beer so much, as she often does, I like to quote Homer Simpson: Beer... it's the perfect temporary solution for everything!

Speaking of Guiness, not sure what the attraction is. Maybe its different here than what you get in Ireland. I drank a ton of it in Malaysia only because there were only 3 types of beer and the other 2 really sucked...like drinking Coors or Bud. Basically, Guiness seems to me like a beer where all they did was burn the ingredients a little bit.

If you go the canned beer route, check out the Oskar Blues brewery offerings. If you enjoy beers with an extra bit of giddy-up, try their Old Chub scotch ale. Good, toasted malt flavor and 11% ABV.

Last year around this time I got into drinking Warsteiner while on project, now if I could only find that in the local liquire barn.

Warsteiner ist sehr gut! I love German beers and pretty much only drink German style lagers with preference to the amber Oktoberfest or Marzen. St Pauli Girl, Becks if I have to but I have a local brewery (Alpine) nearby that the owner and brewmaster went to school in Munich for brewing beer. His beer is the best I've ever drank and you either go to a pub that has it on tap or his brewery to pick up a "can."
