Before I go too far trying to milk more speed from my boat, what would you experienced folks guess I should get for speed from my 1964 Mercury 65 hp on a 1964 MFG Westfield (16') boat with 2 adults/2 children on board?

Right now I get 25mph and I am thinking that's just about all I can expect. Maybe it's time to stop tinkering and start enjoying my boat.

Look at the props forum if you are sure the engine is running OK. Wide open throttle (WOT) RPM is what you're looking for.
