I have the entire bell housing off for bellows, gimbal bearing and shift cable replacement. I thought I'd remove the shift shaft lever, as the replacement shift cable (purchased here) kit has a new one.
I understand that OEM used locktite to hold the screw. Manual states "use caution when heating lever to release bond" or something like that. I heated it with propane torch, but not much, didn't want to ruin seal. How much heat does it take to release the locktite? I do have an oxy/act torch set, really don't want to go there.
Does the Sierra bushing kit 18-2622 fit my drive? Drives are so confusing, Mine is an MC-1, I think :joyous:
Thanks in advance, Great Forum,
