Bellows adhesive alternative?

Getting ready to replace the trim sender/limit switches and was hoping I can use an alternative bellows adhesive I can get at an auto part store ......

Ive used 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive successfully, in a pinch. Wear gloves with this stuff - it doesn't wash off.

Napa sells bellow adhesive.They will look it up in their marine parts book...Thats where i get mine.
The 3M adhesive (yellow gorilla snot) would work but it will be hell the next time to get it apart......Messy stuff!
