I have a new to me 19.5 foot Aluminum with a 4.3 l merc. It has Bennett Trim tabs which were leaking and I just got working again.
The first 2 pics show the tabs at their full bow down setting. Seems like they ought to go lower but apparently the actuator is at the recommended travel of about 2.25".

The last pic shows the lexan cover which is broken. Anyone know where to get a new one that will fit?

Travel looks o.K. It does not take much movement to have a big effect.

I belive mine go down further than that but my question is how do they look when they are fully retracted or UP.

If you put a straight edge on the bottom of the boat with them fully retracted are they just above the straight edge or do they angle up?

I attached a few picture of mine but can say they are all the way up. Mine have a 11 inch cord where I think yours are 9 inch. Mine if all the way up with a straight edge under them are only about 1/4 inch above the straight edge on the trailing edge. All the way down I can stay on plane to 9 MPH.

As far as a cover look here.

Seems to me that they angle up slightly and are not perfectly in line with the hull.

they don't angle up much past horizontal. Bennett has the best customer service, give them a call.

According to the installation instructions:

Using a straight edge under the hull bottom, set the ?negative angle? of the tab?s trailing edge. 9" chord tabs should have a negative angle of 1/2", and 12" chord tabs should have a negative angle of 5/8"
