Re: Bennington 2050LX restoration

well got all the deck installed and corners all cut to match factory, carpet layed out so it could lay flat before gluing...

opened boxes to check measurements on new rails from Bennington only to find the first rail does not meet specs on blueprint that was faxed to me to sign off on before they would build them, I am a little pissed at this point..

anyway here are a few new pics though

Coming along nicely, you may want to throw some old sheets or blanket on it when you start replacing parts so you don't get it dirty.

Glad you got your rail sorted out and sorry for the mix up but we have litterally hundreds of rails we build and lot of them are very similar, we have 2 rail books in the office that are both about 3'' thick, I am glad I am on the tube side.

yeah it is coming along and I am having fun doing it.

the rail ordeal is finally handled and I was a little upset that they sent me blueprints and then did not match the blueprints though, if this is the only snag in the project I can live with that

Restoration looks awesome and done professionally. Are you going to do any motor work or just the pondtoon?? When you get the top, could you do a video demonstration for curious members please.

I had the motor checked by marine mechanic and he said it is like new with very low hrs after checking everything, however I am having the carbs rebuilt.

Ron,

Thank you very much. Also, good to hear about Benningtons good service. I have always liked them compared to other manufacturers.

Ron,

Excellent selection. I know you will be getting compliments in no time. What has me in awe is how the engine graphics look in conjunction with the boat.

Thanks I will get better pics to show the real colors

the engine cover graphics were in bad shape from the sun so I figured why be like every other boat and that is how the engine cover came to be

WOW1 Your rebuild is coming along great. If you ever get down to Florida and want to do another one let me know.:)

All kidding aside, you are doing a get job and as other members have said please post pictures of the power top.

Be Safe,
