bent prop shaft

Hi all,
have a 98 Johnson 150 Ficht, hit a submerged object and bent the prop. Oh well always good to carry a spare. When I fitted it I realised the shaft is bent as well. On reading the manual I'm not quite clear whether it all comes out with the bearing housing or you have to remove the lower unit and release the gearbox, your expertise please?

You have to drop the lower unit and take the gear case apart. If you're going to try this yourself, get an OEM Factory Service Manual.

Thanks Boobie,
if that's the case I'll make it an insurance claim, the prop is already more than my excess so why not let the experts handle it. I thought if the shaft ran out easily I'd give it a go.
