My skeg has a bend in it that causes the boat to drift at low speeds. At high speed it is not noticeable. Is there a safe way to bend this straight or would adjusting the trim tab to offset the drift be my best method to cure this? Thanks.

Move along! Well I couldn't help but putting my 2 cents. Figured if you like to fix it even if it is not the problem watch this video.

There are others as well, you can have it cut similiar to the video and have someone weld a new piece.

Thanks for the info Celtic. It doesnt bother me any to leave it and I sure dont need another repair to throw money at that wont improve the boat any.

it looks exactly like mine on my 40 hp johnson.i think the counterrotation from the engine causes a pulling to one side and adjusting the trim would fix the issue maybe.
