Berkshire Tritoon 24 CTS... Good For First Boat?

Hi all,

Looking to buy first pontoon. Really want a double decker with a slide but also considering a 24 CTS.

I can't find ANY information on these (except a little thread on here) so have no idea if these are good or if there are better brands/makes for the cost. Also, can't find ANY pricing as most everything is "Call for Quote". >_>

So... Can anyone share experience on this make?

For reference, asking price is 71k with a 2.75 performance package (no idea what that means, Berkshire has poor website), with a "Suzuki DF200ATL4 200HP" which looks to cost by itself anywhere from 10 to 20 k.

Just a heads up on "double deckers". That upper deck REALLY moves around in anything short of calm water (especially any wave action/wakes coming from the side), even if the boat isn't moving. Safe bet nobody is going to want to be up there when underway.

We have several of these on our lake, and see the upper deck in use only rarely.

Upside is it's an awesome diving platform assuming you are in water deep enough to make that sort of play safe. Way more popular with kids than adults....
