Those HT's are crap.. I have a set on my Suburban that I am replacing this week. I did get 57K out of them but they are noisy as can be and not particularly good performers. I had a set of HLs on my Expedition that were great tires with the exception of handling water. they acted like a waterski. Not good when travelling 65 in a top heavy SUV.. I did get 65+K out of those.

I am moving on to a set of Michelin LTX m/s to the tune of about $800. I love getting new tires..

** didn't notice this was an old one..

Ponied up some serious $$$ for 8 tires - 4 for the Jeep GC and 4 for my "economy" Cavalier. (Cavalier is getting crap gas mileage for some reason tho)

Bought mine through tire rack and sorted the tire reviews by noise and comfort ratings. I wanted tires that weren't noisy since I drive 60 mins to work each way...

Saved a pretty good amt on the tires and used a tirerack authorized shop to save money on the mount and balancing.

Val,

I have used the tire rack with excellent results as well. I can get them mounted about one block from work. I would give them a big thumbs up!!! I too made my choice based on the reviews.

Well for what it is worth I am still driving on those Daytons. I haven't had a single issue with them. Haven't even had to plug one for anything, or had a bead leak.

The "stones" have been supporting one of my boats since I took that picture of them :)

They are quite quiet for the aggressiveness of that tread. I couldnt be happier for what I spent.
