Best Alternator?

I have a 2007 larson cabrio 240 with a Volvo penta 5.0GXI-GF with 555 ECM and HSV distributor. I need to replace the alternator. I'm having trouble finding the original part number to find OEM manufacturer and or a quality replacement. Any help would be great.

specifically item #5?

its either Mando or Delco. most likely just a regulator and your local Starter/alternator shop has parts on the shelf to get yours back up and running.

I have a 2006 Cobalt with a Volvo penta 5.0 GXi-G. One of the diodes failed in my alternator. I bought a used one on ebay and got a repair kit for the original and repaired it as my spare. A photo of the original alternator with the VP label is below.

Have the original rebuilt if you have a shop nearby that can do that.
