What size engine was in the bullet mustang? I have heard it was a 390 and also a 289 HP.

Cuz Frank Bullit was the good guy. And the Charger wasn't a Hemi, but a bone stock 440 auto. The Bullit Mustang had a lot of work under skin to suspension and motor.

I remember reading at the time that they went through TWO Mustangs making the movie. The Charger held together pretty well, but the Mustang was literally falling apart on the 'landings'. An iconic movie, the first 'modern' car chase.

Funny, Bubba- was just thinking the other day that I haven't seen 'Blood Alley' air anyplace in many years. I liked that flick.

anybody remember the movie , the seven-ups. i think it had a excellent chase scence if i remember correctly.boat chase wise gator was good ,loved the hillbilly sherrif on the causeway.he was also in the bond movie with rodger moore and the amc car chase.
