I'd say whatever the current working one is, but one that stands out was a sailboat. When I was in middle school/highschool we had a 20' Pacific catamaran.
That thing was fast. We won every race we entered, often by a 1/2 hour or more and not only could we sail circles around the local sailing fleet (Lasers), we could out run their bowrider escort too! I finally demasted that boat sailing in a storm at night (trying to get away from mosquitos camping) on the lower Chesapeake bay. We jumped a 6' wave in about 30 knot wind and the stays broke on the landing with the mast crashing to the deck and the sails in the water. We didn't get home 'til 3 am after paddilng and walking 2 hours each.
1965 28' Chris-Craft SeaSkiff express cruiser that my Dad and I restored. Really pretty boat and handled a seaway better than any powerboat near its size that I've ever been aboard. If it wasn't such a maintenance nightmare I'd still have it. Turns out that for all its virtues, when it became mine, I'd rather boat, than paint and varnish. If I ever hit the lottery, I'll buy it back.
don't know if Love is the right word. but i do think my aristocraft nineteen fills a lot of niches and does most of them pretty darn well too.
it certainly is unique compared to many boats... i've not read anyone that has a nineteen either than hasn't had anything but positive
comments about it either... it suits my needs very well, so i'll say i like it a lot...
I had a Daytona also, a 1980 17' bowrider with a 100HP Johnson Sea Horse. Mine was manufactured by Rainbow though, slightly confused? Anyways, that boat was great, the only thing we ever did to that engine was change the impeller and routine maintenance.
