I have a 16ft skeeter bass boat. I am looking to recarpet the front and back deck and 3 box lids that are about 3x3ft and a rod box lid. I am looking for the best carpet and adhesive around. I don't want the adhesive messing up and the carpet coming up.
Please help!!!!

You'll have to shop around for the best carpet you like.

The best adhesive is contact cement, like the Dap Weldwood contact cement. It's tricky to use, but not too bad once you get the hang of it. Practice with scraps first and then do your small pieces first working your way up to the biggest piece last.

The water based outdoor carpet adhesive leaves a lot to be desired in my book. It weakens substantially when the carpet gets soaked, it will regain it's strength when the carpet and glue dry back out... but it's easy detach the carpet from the deck when it's wet. The solvent based contact cement retains it's strength wet or dry after it has been properly cured for 7 days.

Marine carpet rules imo.....100% synthetic (ever noticed how quick synthetic stuff dries?), UV treated and affordable.

I've had good luck with the Roberts 6700 adhesive from Home Depot.
