surflineTHERE IS ABOUT 1 MINUTE OF SURFING BEFORE THE V-20 CC This video sold me my 74 V-20 step hull Wellcraft the brow on this boat makes for the dryest best riding CC boat ever. My 31 yo boat I would not trade it for the world......ok let's hear it......

Too limited in application. Nice boat for salt and big water. No good for small water and rivers.<br /><br />Boston Whaler Classic Montauk 17 goes anywhere, does anything.

I bought it for Long Island sound and Lake Ontario for Salmon fishing. I would not want to go out to the Race in a 17 footer{this is where LIS meets the open Atlantic} large rip currents and the best bluefish and striper fishing around.

how about intrepid, contender, regulator, and jupiter? pretty much any custom center console from south florida.<br /><br />i wouldn't even consider grady or boston whaler when talking a true offshore center console. they don't focus on them enough.

I have been to Bimini from Ft. Likkerdale in a BW 16 several times and run through squalls on Lake Michigan and LOTW with a 17. <br /><br />I have buried the bow in green water, been up to my shins in water and driven the boat dry. On that same trip I stood by a swamped Grady of around 24' until the USCG arrived.<br /><br />I agree that your V20 is a good boat for what you do, Blu Lunch, but I don't agree that it is the best CC ever made. I stick to my choice.
