Re: Best Deals--Boat Shows or Dealer
In a way, boat shows are kind of like an open auction, in that lots of folks
make offers on the boats. The salesmen play it like an auction, and possibly
the highest offer gets the deal. Maybe nobody gets a deal, and maybe the
boat goes to somebody happy with the show price.
Pricing is a game, you can win a better deal, or miss out altogether on it.
There are others, so all is not lost on an attempt at a good deal.
Driving by a dealer, I saw a new jon boat. Stopped, and looked at the boat.
Saw a sign in the boat, with a show sale price less than $1,500 off the retail.
I called the dealer Monday am, and asked about the boat. Salesman quoted
me the retail price, and not the sale price. My immediate reaction was that
I did not want to deal with those folks. Had he gave me the sale price on the
sign, I might have bought it. That's all part of the game.
Good luck!
