LOoking for advice re: best way to support my '92 Sportcraft 232 WAC on lift previously set for 28' Bertram, I need to provide some fore to aft tilt to keep water draining out the transome plug. THe lift cradle is "V'd" 12 deg. THe bunks are 2x10, and I moved them in to the first inbd strakes 22" from center. THat has the keel 6" above the cradle in the rear, and 4" above in the front, so water now drains to the front, not good! I can have the cables shortened in front which would solve the drainage problem, but I'm wondering if I should put in a center beam to support the keel, but all the lifts I see only use the side bunks, but they are not "V'd" cradles, and their keels touch the cross beams.
Any thoughts?
TIA
Ted

I have a locally built aluminum "Kyzer" lift, bought in 1995. It uses ACE motor and gear boxes. Rated @ 13.5k #.
What I'm wondering basically is should I modify it to support the keel ?

I use a rubber pad between the bunks. I've never seen the beams V'd, but what a good idea. If your concerned, add the rubber.

Good Luck!
