Didn't get a chance to go see it yet. I still have a lot to do with the boat before it is ready to go. I picked it up on Sunday and the hull was in better condition that I thought for a 1957 boat. Here are some pictures. Working on getting a price to have it soda blasted. Looks like it may have had a windshield at one time judging frome the holes.

Hey, that's a nice little boat.:D That would definately be worth the time and effort to restore. Since it is aluminum, it should be worth a pretty penny, when it's done. That old Johnson 35 will look real nice on it too.

Looks like a nice ol' boat. Should clean up nicely.

Re: Best old 35-40hp motor to look for.

My only concern is the missin trim piece on the left rear near the transom. The old one looks like it broke off and the other side has a crack starting. The stern aluminum transom looks ok, but it could have been stressed having an engine on it causing the crack. Any opinions on this would be appreciated.

Sorry but you need to clariify what you mean by cracks. Is there a crack in the molding or a crack in the actual transom? On the stern where the cleat is, is that a crack or a seam?

Crack in the molding. Where the cleat is that is a seam. The transom looks intact and the rivets are not loose from wht I can tell. Does anyone know where to get replacement molding?
