Best Paint and coatings for older salt water trailer

This trailer is no longer going to be exposed to salt water and want to strip and repaint. What is the " Best Paint " thats not spray or rustoleum. What about a clear polyurethane that is used for wood, but drys a thick like plastic clear coat like Varathane...

I assume you have a steel trailer that is structurally still sound.
I used rust bullet and was satisified with the results. I used it on new steel that I added to a galvanized trailer. Needed to beef up the tounge area.
I have used por-15 also, but do not like the idea that I have to top coat for uv protection. I will use rust bullet in the future.

if it has been dunked in salt water frequently, you will have to paint inside to accomplish anything.
