Best Paint for Cowling

What is the best brand or kind of paint to use on the engine hood? I painted mine gloss black using Krylon Fusion it looked good at first but the sun has been really hard on it in just 2 years. Also who does custom lettering/graphics online at a reasonable price. The motor is an 1989 1.6 SeaDrive that runs like a top. Thanks

most cowlings are fiberglass...when I rebuilt the keel of my boat this summer I use Imron...works really well on fiberglass...most 18 wheelers are running around with Imron on their hoods and look at what they go through on the interstate. Thats what I read in the threads about fiberglass though and has held up really well on my keel...well where it doesn't get beached...lol. If you use it and post the paint code # on here I'd like to get it when I repaint mine.

sorry, disregard the previous post about paint code # yours wouldn't be the same color as mine anyways...duh...lol. good luck
