Best product to repair keel

I had my 24' cuddy boat beached. A storm came in and the end result is a gouged up keel just down to the fiberglass. What is the best product to use to repair the damage?
Also are the keel protectors really effective?
I have thought of getting Line X applied all the way down the keel 6" to 10" wide...any thoughts?

Marinetex, And I need to put a keel gaurd on mine due to all the beaching I do myself, Installed right it could work out well for you, It would do Ok for me, but there might be better ways of doing it.

Why does every one what to put line x or rhino liner on there hulls when they make stuff for boat hulls? They make stuff to protect the hulls put it on and go beach your boat and have Fun..... They are hulls not truck beds.
