Hi!

I have a 1995 Crownline 225CCR with a 454 Magnum. Now i want a new prop that makes the top speed better. I have now the orginal prop on so what do you guys with the same boat use? I have heard Mirage Plus 21" is good.

Please recomend me some good prop.

Re: Best prop for my Crownline 225ccr with 454 magnum

There is some guidance in the 'stickies' on props and prop selection. . . What prop is on there now?

However, if your boat has an original prop that the manufacturer used, then it is probably the best prop to begin with. If you engine is reaching the specified RPM at full throttle, then the prop is probably OK. So, maybe share your RPM and top speed (gps) and then some folks may have some additional comments.

I had a 24 foot Formula with a 454 and it came with a 21"p mirage . . .

There is a original 23" prop on, but with this prop the boat takes a very long time to level out.

I guess the prop is to big and with this i got a better top speed... am I right?
Will it go out faster with a 21" prop? I have borrow a 21" mercury black max from the store here and will try it out tomorrow.

Please help me with the ultimate propp for this boat and engine.

Help us to help you. Please look at the "read this first" post in the prop section and answer the questions (at least the first 4).
