Why not a seloc manual? I just ordered one. Should I return it?

Most around here have no use for any of the third party books. Way too much irrelevant info and not all the info you need.

You really need the OEM manual to do work on your motor. That having been said, it is nice to also have the Seloc manual simply because they do explain things a little differently, and may even have pictures that you can use as a reference when doing repairs. I have found that if you can only have one, you need the OEM manual. If you can swing having both, its to your advantage.

Neither. Both are worse than the other.

Get an OEM Service Manual reprint from www.outboardbooks.com

Thanks so much for that link! I've been hunting my misplaced OEM factory service manual for months. Local dealer only carries Clymer version and says OEM is no longer available. About 60% more expensive at that site, but worth it if I can't find mine soon.

Realistically the OEM manual is the only way to go.
