I need to replace the plugs in my 2005 50ELPTEFI.

I have been in racing all my life, Stock cars and Drag Cars, and I have run a variety of spark plug brands through the years. But this is my first venture into maintaining an outboard engine. Is any one plug brand better than or especially bad for the outboard motor? I was looking at the e3 brand, Champion has been around since the internal combustion engine was invented, don't quote me on that, but I want the best performance, and on the other hand I don't want it to be to good allowing the motor to run lean.

Thank you for the advice,

Ron

I've always been a fan of NGK plugs for both my inboards and outboard motors. Just my two cents though.

My 84 115hp came with NGKs from the factory. 14 yrs and 600+ hrs later, it still had those plugs when I traded it. It never skipped a beat, that were the result of the plugs
