I am looking to replace my spark plugs in my 1988 75 horse Mariner. I am currently using NKG BUWH 2. Is there a better kind for that motor and how can I tell if they need to be replaced by looking at them?

Re: Best Spark Plugs

Buy a new set of plugs that Merc recommends for the engine. They built it and know what works best. Compare the old ones to the new ones but keep them for spares should you need them.

BUHW 2 are the recommended plugs for your engine and they are surface discharge plugs, wich tend to foul less at idle.
