First off, im sorry for posting this. I posted this in a completely wrong category before. Anyways I have a 1985 glastron cvx 17 with a 1990 Evinrude xp 150. I put the motor on the boat, and from reading online built up a expectation of 60mph. Then when I got on the water it only did 48mph, and over revved to 6000 at the same time. The prop on it is a aluminum 17p. It is also very sqirrley on holeshot. I would like a prop that'll make 'er go atleast 60... im not very worried about my holeshot. So what prop do I need????? Thanks

A 21 pitch ought to do it; put you in the 50's.

That boat is rated for 140 hp, according to the sales brochure.

You won't find a prop to go 60, unless you put a 200 on her.

Be real careful running at those speeds.Wear a pfd and safety lanyard. Things can turn real mean real quick.
Check bassboat accident on utube.
