Looking for a new tow behind tube.

I've seen the triangle shaped ones, and they seem to tow a little through the water.

I only need it to fit 1-2 people. Thanks!!

Price range is 300

Re: Best Tube for tubing

i guess it all depends on what you want to do.

I have several different types. A small round tube for one person that you generally lay down on and is easy to have a crazy ride on it.

I also have a bigger round tube with an inflatable bottom that works well for young kids. Still have a fun ride but harder to fall out.

3rd, I recently got a viper 2 that everyone loves. VERY stable tube that would be extremely hard to flip. Everyone loves this one because they know they wont be flipped out of it and you can sit upright with a backrest. Truthfully, i got a little bored in it.

So it really depends on what you want to do with it and how you want to be towed. I like them all for dirrenet reasons. I haven't found one tube that does it all yet.

Hmm I always wondered the same thing. I wanted a tube that you could lose a rider on and do some tricks (barrel rolls and jumps over the wake)

I bought the Airhead Hotshot and it seems to work well for this. It's not the most expensive tube $60 but it's fun. I would say this isnt intended for small kids though unless you have an adult with them. It's really only a 1 person tube.

We have had extreme fun on our Obrien Super Screamer. It is easy to get a lot of air and very affordable. If you are riding young children, I would not recommend this one because it is somewhat a rough ride.

We got the O'Brien Screamer & took it out last week for the first time. No one really loved it because it kept nose-diving. My kids are still pretty young (4 & 7) and neither is very confident on a tube yet. We're still at the just over idle stage :)

Just got the cheapest 1-person tube I could find on Amazon to try instead. It's a Sportsstuff VIP Sportstube (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KD8XFQ/ref=oss_product) & cost me less than $40 shipped (I have free shipping through Prime). It's definitely a cheap tube (doesn't have any nylon cover) and I really don't expect it will last too long, but it should help get the kids more used to tubing.
