I checked my WOT rpms and was running at 4600 and 47mph GPS all trimmed out. My boat has a good hole shot as is. We had approx 800 lbs riders and gear. What type of prop would benefit me the most? We don't ski or board just cruise all day. I am considering adding the smart tabs. Would that affect my prop choice? My current aluminum three blade is not marked so I don't know what the pitch is:(. I would like to have a good top speed and an economical cruise rpm at around 35-40 mph. Right now at 35 mph cruise it is turning 3600rpm.

Re: Best type of prop

I really cant think of much that is going to help.
From what you stated you seem to be really close.
Smart tabs may or may not help, I know thats no help. But they are to correct, or help a problem that you dont seem to have. They work mostly at lower speed and move up at higher speeds so as not to drag.
I think I would take your prop in to a shop and have them gauge it, then you will know for sure what you have. Talk to them and see if they rent props to test and see what they recommend.
A stainless steel prop may give you a bit more top end. Maybe an inch or two more pitch will help. But like I said, your real close now.

What is a TahoeQ7? Have you looked under the prop nut for prop numbers?
What model 5.0?efi? 240hp?220Hp?It appears you are propped for about 4,800.
And you do pretty well for a 900lb load.
