sorry if this has been covered...and Im sure it has. I am attempting to install my shifter box on my hydra sports bass boat. I am wondering what the best method was to secure the panel to the boat. It was secured to the old boat with what I call "well nuts". I was wondering if a drywall style anchor would work just as well? What about stainless toggle bolts? I am trying to find something that I can pick up locally. I couldnt locate any well nuts while I was out and about today.

thanks a bunch

Lowes carries stainless steel tee nuts, as well as rubber expansion well nuts.

Yes, I called down to lowes and they do have the well nuts. Ill be honest..I dont like well nuts. Seems like sometimes they work and other times they are a pain. The tee nuts would be ideal but I dont think the spikes would grab into the fiberglass due to how hard it is. (I could be wrong though). I cant get to the backside to hammer on them so I would have to try to "seat" one with a bolt and washer to see if it would hold first. Im leaning towards stainless toggle bolts, but you have to drill such a big hole for those babies. Thanks for the suggestions.
