ok, so I have one bench seat and the sun deck cushion that needs some new leather. What is the best way to replace it? Are there any companys that makes the leather and you just have to staple it on? Where have you guys taken them to get repaired?

I ask because i am on a budget and would like to do this the least expensive say as possible.

any ideas?

thanks

Leather is really wrong stuff to have on a boat.

I bet it is an artificial product.

Any good upholstery guy can ID it and replace it for you.

That will be vinyl. If you do it yourself, make sure the vinyl is UV resistant, or it won't last a full season. I find the supply houses carry some rated for use on car roofs, it will be good for many years.
If you don't have a dedicated upholsterer near you, any of the auto glass places do it as well. Apple, Speedy, Standard.

Re: Best way to replace leather?

thanks for the thoughts guys.

I am new to this, so I guess I was wrong about Leather. I just assumed. It is what ever comes stock on the boat seats and what not. Now that i think about it, i would say it is vinyl.

I guess i will just find someone to do it for me. Anyone know prices i should expect?

Thanks
Dean

if you can take it out, car seat cover shops are usually cheaper than upolsters.
