best way to wire a second starter button

I am trying to wire a second starter button on my 1983 70 hp evenrude and don't know were to hook it up on the solenoid. Can someone please help with this. Thanks!!!

See the rough sketch added in blue. You might want to add a fuse. And you still will need to have the ignition turned to the run position or the power pack will be grounded out.

why would you want a second switch. you need to be at the controls when the motor is running.

Agree wholeheartedly with Tash on this one. You have no way to kill the engine. You are away from the controls. No start-in-gear protection. If you need this switch for test purposes, then a simple switch with alligator clips can work. A remote start button has no use for normal operation. Am I correct in suspecting you have an ignition switch (starting circuit) problem and are looking for a cheap way around it?
