Best Yamaha Models/Years

All brands have their best years. I was wondering what you all think are Yamahas best motors.

Ok, I can't resist...All of them! <br /><br />Truthfully, Yamaha built their fine reputation on the history of their first outboards. And they hold that reputation with their most modern outboards.<br /><br />But I'm partial to their small 4-strokes, like the 9.9 and 8. I love their midrange 2-strokes. And thier F115's are some of the finest outboards I've owned (I've had a lot!) Worst one I've gotten was last year's model F15. POS. IMO their late 80's early 90's large 2-strokes were so-so.
