Re: beyond the plug club.

Was picking up all the fishing gear to get it in the boat and saw this gentleman getting his boat down the ramp. Thought there was something screwy but didn't get it.....until he fired up and put it in gear and nothing happened. He forgot to re-install the propellor. But after several minutes of head scratching he went back to his truck, got out the propellor and fixed it. Nobody laughed, everybody (5 watching now) did as if he indeed had done this "test" as mentioned above :)

Thank god the only plug story I have is after laying up for the winter on my 1st boat (14' Larson) I forgot to pull the plug and come spring the boat was completely full of water mind you it was an open bow with pretty high gunwales it must have took 2 hrs to drain while I was kicking myself in the a-- the whole time.
I saw a guy this summer launch his boat with his wife driving his truck after he took off all his straps including the bow line and she moved down that ramp like she was qualifiying for the Daytona 500 and soon as she hit the steep part of the ramp that boat trailer did'nt need to touch the water it must have slide 15 feet into the water the guy just acted like nothing happenedand fired it up and waited for her to park and jump in they didn't even check for damage unbelievable I still to this day wonder if they practiced that!!!!

Out on lake Ontario fishing. Left all bait (worms and soft shell crabs) on doghouse. Left one fishing spot for another and you guessed it.... no more bait. To this day I will not set one of my tackle trays on the doghouse even for 1 minute. I'd cry if I lost $100 worth of lures like that which is funny because if I loose $10-20 worth of lures on a trip it doesn't bother me a bit.
