BF20- screws to secure cowl

Hi,

Does anyone know the thread size on the screws that secure the cowl on a 2005 Honda BF20. I know it is a metric thread but not sure what size. I want to try and find some with a hex head as I don't like the phillips head on the factory screws.

Hello,

I assume we are talking about the side covers of the 20hp model. The screws are M5x10mm. They have washers incorporated. I can't tell if the thread is fine or coarse, though. I hope this can help you.
