I filled the tank with fresh fuel but my motor will only stay running if I hold the throttle open a bit. As soon as it gets near the idle position it quits. Can anyone give me tips on what may be causing this and possibly how fix it.
I would suggest that your carbs are dirty and you have some clogged idle circuits. Last season's gas will do this. Try carb cleaner. Maybe seafoam. Did you drain the carbs before you stored the boat last fall?
