I have an outboard, say's big twin on couwling. Where is the searial no# located so I can ask you guys what hp and year it is.

the numbers should be on the transom clamps.<br />you should see a small plate with thenubers on it.<br />I hope that helps.

Look for numbers stamped into a freeze plug about the size of a quarter on top of the bkock, too, RJ.

Thanks for the info on the serial no#s for big twin. I got the ones on the transom mount they are 2003 18083.Haven't looked on the freeze plug yet.thanks rj

Cool! A Rare 2003 180Hp twin. Awsome motors and rare as Hen's teeth. ;) <br /><br />Actually, closest I can come is a 18003, 1970 18Hp. But Big Twin was a 1950s designation. I don't recall seeing that on newer models. Double-check your numbers. Sometimes they can be awfully hard to read. :confused:
