Still trying to find out what year and hp Says big twin on engine cover.Searial no# on transom clamp is 2003-18083,can;t find any other no#'s Willy replied that it may be a 1970 18 hp. But I know the guys that originally bought the moter got it in the 50's, It had a control box that shifted and controled the throttle.It was a shaft or rod that turned inside a housing that went to the back of the boat and then there was two gears that conected to the shift lever some how to change gears . Lost one of the gears would like to find parts for that.Guess I should worry about first question first and get moter running.Need repair manual and place to get parts when I find out what I have here.
