i just bought a 2005 mercury 15hp 4 stroke with electric start im just wondering how to tell if its a bigfoot version or not thanks

looks like a12 9p thanks

Mercury prop manual don't call for a 12" dia. prop till the 25 bigfoot so you must have a bigfoot unit to pull that prop.

What does your motor weigh?

The motor should say "Big Foot" on the back cover housing.
