bigfoot sighting?

i have a 40hp merc model c40ELPTO, its a 4 cylinder 2 stroke on a pontoon. From my research, bigfoots are mostly used on pontoons, and I found one website that said the way to tell the 40hp bigfoot from non-bigfoot, is that the bigfoot has 4 cylinders and the non-bigfoot does not.... is this true? I only found that in one place, so I'm guessing thats wrong, but you never know.

To the best of my knowledge, the 4 cyl 40hp did not come with a bigfoot option.

Again, the best of my knowledge (on the 2 strokes)...

60 bigfoot (uses a 75-90-100-115-125 gearcase)

I don't remember ever seeing a 4cyl 40hp optioned with a larger gearcase.... (or the 2 or 3 cylinder 40s for that matter)...
But I'm happy to see a different (more current) opinion on this...

Quite a lot of the 4 strokes have a 'bigfoot' option though.

The only 40hp with bigfoot option was the 3 cylinder loopers
