I drove 55 in a 40 this morning. And I drove for 40 days without my proof of insurance card inside the vehicle. And one time I accidently kept a slot bass. And another time I accidently kept 2 overs when the limit was one. And I crossed the state line into Oklahoma one time on lake Texoma when the other guy in the boat only had a Texas license. That was intentional.
LOCK HIM UP. admission of guilt is punnisable under Texas law. CRIMINAL!!! ;) :D :D

Re: Biggest non-story of 2006

The media may be ticked off that they were scooped, but with his visibility Cheney should have had a announcement made. With the media after him for any little thing, he should have covered his butt.

It really isnt our business, but that isnt the way things are in the medias 'real' world.

As for Clintons humidor experience, that really wasnt anyones business either. The part that really got me fired up was the finger pointing lecturing lie. The part that really made it important was the lying to the grand jury.

Re: Biggest non-story of 2006

This cover up is merely "business as usual" for this administration. We as Americans have a right to know immediatly whenever any criminal actions are engaged in by Bush or Cheney. The VP is going to get away with attempted murder thanks to Bush and the oil lobby.

On a side note. I am having trouble keeping the tin foil secured to my head. Any suggestions on a better method than standard duct tape would be appreciated.

As long as the victim recovers, that comparison is really only good as joke material.

Mr. Cheney didn't actually fail to "report,"...he didn't leave a victim at the scene of an accident...he did everything any one of us would have done. I certainly wouldn't have called NBC. Sure it gave the media one more element to add to their circus...but it's a circus with or with out it.

[edit: Doh! that was a joke wasn't it DJ. Dang you got me!]

Listen to all the banter out there about this topic today. It's as if these morbid media moppettes are on a death watch, wishing and hoping this guy bites the big one.

This is more than sad. This is down right sick!

And now they're all whinning about Cheney giving an exclusive interview to FOX NEWS! Why how dare he!

Cheney would make a lousy liberal. He took full responsibility, no parsing of words, no dodging the question. No waiting for hard evidence to arise and blaming a conspiracy.

"You can talk about all of the other conditions that exist at the time, but that's the bottom line and — it was not Harry's fault," he said.

You cant get more up front than that. ;)

twidjet
I saw that too.
I cant blame the man for not calling in the media on saturday.
no one says anything about alcohol, except the VP says he had a beer for lunch a few hours earlier.
I think the media is choking their collective chickens on this one.
but as far as any charges I was chatting with a customer today, an attorney, and he said if the man dies its possible for the VP to be charged with negligent manslaughter however unlikly. most likly cause he sees would be a civil suit by the survivors for wrongful death.
I pray none of the theorys get tested.
ita as bad as Lou Dobbs earlier talking about the FL farmers coalition suing FEMA, by the time he was done he had twisted it around and said it was the illegals suing when in fact its a coalition of LEGAL land owning upright citizens that are farmers and routinly break the law by hiring illegal farm workers.
took Lou less than 60 seconds to twist it.
I wish the press would move on to better things than the VP shooting someone.

Where was the media when Hillary's procession blasted through a security checkpoint and injured a local cop in the process? The cop says they didn't even take responsibility for it or do anything at all.

Re: Biggest non-story of 2006

Thank god for the press. It is now reported that Cheney may be having an affair, Cheney shot a man in the face to cover scooter libby, Cheney was drinking before hunting, (1 beer - 5hrs before equates to no drinking), this is cheneys chapaquidic, cheney should resign, and on and on and on. The press has all these rights but seems to ignore their responsibility. The are reporters, but maybe we should call them fabricators it seems more accurate. What is the difference between the mainstream media and the National Enquirer?

What exactly are the qualifications to be a journalist? Other than a left leaning agenda? What a bunch of arrogant, self glorifying, ego maniacs with dilusions of greatness. They should all be slapped and sent home to their mothers. I hear McDonalds is hiring.
