Can i just a plastic thru hull for the bilge drain ? or do i need a bronze or something like that?

Yea, plastic will work..but how many times do you want to revisit the problem?
The problem with "saving money" in boats is you end up spending twice as much over a period of time, spend a tad more and its DONE. This applys to ANYTHING with boat maintaince, if it takes more time..costs more...in the long run , its worth it.Why? cause you only do it..spend it..ONCE.
