Hello,

So my bilge pump worked great when installed but now it only sends water like 3/4 the way down the tube. If I take a hose and put it on the hole that it shoots the water out of and run some water through it it works, how do I fix this

Sound like your air locked.

Line runs upwards to outlet w/o flat spots in the line?
Do you have an upward loop (trap) in the line running between the pump and the outlet?

Yeah there are a couple flat spots, but no I don’t have a loop trap? Should I put one in and where?

Depends on the type of bilge pump you have, if not self priming then no loop, but if you have a self priming pump then a loop closer to the outlet..reason for the upper loop is to keep spray water from outside, going into the bilge. On a non self priming pump, that loop can create an air lock as shown in the posted video

Then it could be just wearing out and not running as fast as it should. Or is there a check valve in the pump/line that’s plugged up?

No I mean like it runs up then would go along a flat plane or have a small dip then continue up so I guess air was getting trapped
