I need to remove/reseal the bilge plug flange on my 07 Sea Ray 200 Select. Any suggestions on how to access the through hull nut and bolt securing the grounding wire short of removing the engine!!!!

It was installed before the engine went into the hull... If you can't reach it with extensions, socket ujoints, little kid hands holding a custom bent wrench, etc, then it might be an "it is what it is" situation. You're the one looking at the bilge and the limitations it's presenting you, so use your imagination.

Unfortunately, It's not the first and won't be the last time someone couldn't get at something they needed to get at in a boat, without removing something. Just in your case, it's something really painful to remove.

Are you talking about this?
Its better if the motor is out of the way.

This is the flaring tool, iboats should have it.

Here's a homemade one

Can you post a picture of it?

A though hull nut and bolt/ grounding wire?

If its like the tube shown then you could use a hacksaw blade to cut it in two, then fold it over and remove. Then reinstall new one with 5200

This post is in reference to the garboard drain plug flange. Sea Ray incorporates a grounding wire attached to a through hull nut/bolt and two wood screws to secure the flange.
