what are my choices for a fix?

Should I cut a square out in front of the tank, install a hatch and slide the bildge under the tank as far back as I can reach or ??

Hard to tell, if you cant go back at least install it in front of the tank at the lowest point. You might want to leave the exiting one where it is so you have 2 pumps. If you do so, I would also installa float swithc and a 3 way switch to control the pump. A off setting, auto seting (pump tripped by float switch) and on (pump on reguardles of float switch).

thanks for the info.

Having never done this, it it going to be a simple as ordering a hatch, drilling a hole, scroll saw out the correct shape?

If I do this will I have the space under the deck to put the pump?

To seal up the deck after I cut, should I fiberglass the edges?
