Bilge pump locations

All throughout this site I have read "to the lowest and rearmost location" for pump location.

If you have access to the bilge towards the bow, one needs to be located there also. This will be the lowest point when your not moving or at no wake and trolling speeds (especially with a V-hull). Example: my 24' Stamas (I/O) has 2 pumps, a 2000gph just forward of the engine and a 1500gph located below the step leading into the cabin. Both are on automatic switches with a manual override.

Not on a bass boat.
The stearn will always be the lowest part, going or stopped.

Yep, maybe deck boats too. I use a 14' jon boat boat for bass fishing and it's pump is a cut milk jug.

Since I knew there would be exceptions coming I decided not to try and list those boats I am not intimately familiar with.

Does a bass boat even have a bilge??

Yea, the jon boat I started out with had one of those.
I think deck boats sit pretty level when stopped.
