First of all, great looking boat! Why risk damage by leaving it up. I would stow it in the down position. If you have them, use trailering struts, which work pretty good. I use them. Fairly inexpensive to buy.

One new question.....

I know i can't lay the bimini down in the back portion of the cockpit due to the curvature of the gunwhale walls at the top. It just won't lay flat and tends to want to make the bimini pull further apart at the poles.

I am hoping I can lay it down in front of the cockpit window over in the bow section. If I am able to do that is there any issue with wind potentially picking it up and flipping it backwards?
