I want to get a bimini top for my Sundance skiff. Is it inconvenient to fish around? Would the kind w/ the boot thing be better? Is it hard to put up and down? These seem like dumb questions to me but if you don't ask, you won't know. Thanks.

Re: Bimini Top

Howdy, Fredda.

Yes, a Bimini is a little hard to fish around if you are fishing for big fish or casting from the boat and no, it isn't hard to erect or put down.

It is very nice to have if it rains lightly or if the sun gets too hot. A boot is very good to have.

:)

Re: Bimini Top

Thanks, J.B. I looked at some at an on-line store thats part of this site. I'm looking at the 2bow style. Does it come with all that is needed to install? It seems that it will be less expensive to have it installed than getting one put on at the boat dealer. Has anyone dealt with these stores? Any feedback? Thanks.

Re: Bimini Top

fredda5018 I have a pontoon boat and I won't leave home without my bimini top. The original top was in bad shape so I ordered one from OVERTON.com and they are easy to install. And as far as putting them up and down, no problem. But there are times when they do get in your way. To me they are well worth the little bit of trouble.
